Dear Greg,
I fish for catfish with my Dawson's Fish Alerts. They work great. My husband laughed at me when I bought these. He doesn't laugh anymore 'cause I always catch more fish then him. I feel the Fish Alerts help set the hook.
They really seem to beep faster when I catch a big fish, it is so cool. We only go to small lakes and other fisherman have asked me where I got these.
You would not believe the fish I have caught using my Fish Alerts. It is so great I will not go fishing with out it. Thanks for making this great product!

I usually use my Fish Alerts for fresh water fishing in the local lakes of Jindabyne and Eucumbene dams. Trout fishing in the dams and carp and natives in the local lakes. Caught a few during the week and the alarms worked really well. It was snowing and very strong winds and with very liffle fine tuning the alarms did their job.
The trout were 2 to 3 pound range. Fished in the arvo and right through the night. Fell asleep and the alarm was loud enough to wake me up and very easy to see in the dark because of the light in the top of the activating switch. Had one Fish Alert set up in a piece of pvc tubing pushed into the ground and one pushed directly into the bank. The ground was fairly soft so pushed in easily.
I' m going beach fishing this weekend so will report back how they go on larger fish. All the best. Bob P.
John J Pickens Jr of Texas, USA, has purchased many Dawson's Fish Alerts over the years. He swears by them, particularly on those freezing Texas winter days when he would like nothing better than a feed of fresh catfish.
John reckons all he has to do is set his Fish Alerts up in the holders on his dock (jetty) and go back into the warmth of his home waiting for the "beep - beep" to let him know that he could very well have fresh fish for dinner that night.
